FLYING TRAINING IN INDIA

POETIC PILOT ACADEMY has partnered with DGCAapproved Flying training organisations (FTO) in India who offer quality pilot training programs, have experienced instructors, and world class infrastructure.

ELIGIBILITY

Requirements to start your Flight training:

  • Age: Be at least 16 years old
  • Education: Have passed 10+2 standard or equivalent with Physics and Maths. Medical, Commerce, arts students can give Physics or Maths through NIOS.
  • Medical Fitness Requirement: Valid DGCA Class I or II
    Medical assessment 
  • English Language Proficiency: Both verbal and written
  • Pass all the DGCA CPL theory exams

FLYING TRAINING

The Training course covers general flying, aircraft testing, and skills assessment.

Complete 200 hours of flight hours includes-
 100 hours pilot in command (PIC),
 50 hours solo 100 NM cross country,
 15 hours of night
 20 hours instrument flight.
 15 hours of Multi Engine

After completing the necessary flight hours and theory exams, you must take the DGCA CPL practical test or check ride.
During this test, you will demonstrate your ability to:

 Fly the aircraft safely and competently
 Execute flight manoeuvres
 Perform cross-country navigation
 Handle emergency situations
 Communicate effectively with air traffic control

Duration: Flight training takes an average of 10-12 months, depending on weather, students learning skills.

Fleet in India

185 hours will be flown on single engine, 15 hours on Multi engine and 20 hours of Simulator Training. Single Engine – Cessna-152,172. Diamond DA-40. Piper Archer
III, Cherokee PA28. Tecnam P mentor, P2008, P2010. Multi Engine – Piper Seneca PA34. Tecnam P2006T. Diamond DA42.
After completing your training and submitting your documents to DGCA, you will receive INDIAN COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE with Multi Rating – CPL IR/ME, after which you become eligible to apply for vacancies in commercial airlines, charters in India or work as flying Instructor in an Indian FTO.
