GROUND CLASSES

GROUND CLASSES

AT PPA you are taught by highly experienced Instructors who are currently flying for different Airlines in India. DGCA ground classes are crucial for aspiring pilots to acquire the theoretical knowledge necessary for CPL exams and lay the foundation for their pilot careers. These comprehensive classes cover a wide range of subjects. For a CPL, candidates must pass the following theory exams:

  1. Air Navigation – Advanced navigation techniques, flight planning, Instruments and radio aids.
  2. Air Regulations – DGCA rules, international aviation laws, and ATC procedures.
  3. Meteorology – In-depth weather systems, forecasting, and aviation meteorology.
  4. Technical General – Covers aircraft systems, aerodynamics and engines.
  5. Technical Specific – Exam based on the specific aircraft used for training (e.g., Cessna 172, DA40).
  6. Radio Telephony (RTR) – Mandatory license for radio communication with ATC.
  • Exams are conducted by DGCA every month
  • Passing Criteria: A minimum of 70% is required in each subject.
  • MCQ type questions, with nove marking.
  • Pilots have the flexibility to take as many attempts as needed.

* Candidates must register on the Pariksha DGCA portal obtain Computer no. to apply.

We are committed to ensuring that our students successfully clear the exam on their first attempt and move on to the next part of their aviation journey i.e. flying training.

  • Study from highly experienced Instructors, all of whom are Active Airline Pilots
  • Same Classes can be attended Offline in New Delhi or Online on Zoom
  • Duration is 5-6 Months for all 6 subjects
  • Live Demo for Online or Offline classes are available

AIR REGULATIONS

Air navigation is the process of guiding an aircraft from one location to another while monitoring its position during the flight using aeronautical charts, instruments and navigation aids.

It’s Divided into three Parts

  • General Navigation
  • Aircraft Instruments
  • Radio Aids
  • Duration 2.5 months

AIR NAVIGATION

Air regulations, also known as air law, are a set of rules that govern the use of airspace and aviation activities. They are created and maintained by aviation authorities to ensure the safety and efficiency of air travel. Air regulations apply to both national and international levels.

➢ Duration 1.5 Months

AVIATION METEOROLOGY

Aviation meteorology is the study of weather. It is a crucial subject for aspiring commercial pilots and private pilot license holders. It helps students develop the skills and knowledge to fly safely in different weather conditions. Students learn about the fundamentals of meteorology, such as air pressure, temperature, humidity, and atmospheric phenomena. They also learn how to interpret meteorological data and make informed decisions based on that data, that helps ensure the safe and efficient movement of aircraft.

TECHNICAL GENERAL

Technical General is a subject in aviation that helps pilots understand how airplanes work. It is important for safe flight because it helps pilots understand how to control an aircraft in normal and abnormal conditions. It’s a comprehensive exam that covers a range of topics,

• Principles of flight: The ability of an object to fly, whether through thrust or lift
• Power plant: The study of the design, mechanics, and engines of aircraft
• Aircraft structures and hydraulics: The parts of an aircraft that provide its shape, strength, and form
• Airframes and systems: The systems and airframes of an aircraft

➢ Duration 2 months
➢ Contact us for Live or Recorded Demo class

RTR

The Radio Telephony Restricted License (RTR(A)) exam, also known as the Radio Communication Skill Test, is a test that assesses a pilot’s ability to communicate with air traffic controllers (ATCs). The exam is a mandatory requirement for students enrolled in India’s Commercial Pilot License Training Course

➢ Duration 1.5 Months
