FLYING IN CANADA

WHY CANADA?

Flight training in Canada is a preferred choice for many aspiring pilots due to its balance of quality training, affordability, and global recognition

  1. Lower Cost Compared to the USA & India
  • Flight training in Canada is cheaper than in the USA due to lower fuel costs, training fees, and living expenses.
  • Compared to India, where training costs are high due to expensive aviation fuel and limited infrastructure, Canada offers a cost-effective alternative.
  1. Globally Recognized Pilot License
  • Canada follows Transport Canada (TC) regulations, and its CPL can be converted easily to FAA (USA), EASA (Europe), or DGCA (India).
  • Canadian pilot training is known for high safety standards and quality instructors, making graduates competitive worldwide.
  1. Uncongested Airspace & Real-World Weather Conditions
  • Unlike India, where restricted airspace and heavy air traffic can cause delays, Canada has vast, open airspace, allowing more flying time.
  • Harsh winters provide valuable experience in cold-weather operations, which is beneficial for airline careers worldwide.
  1. Post-Training Job & PR Opportunities
  • Canada has a growing aviation industry with pathways to work as a flight instructor or apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
  • Some students transition to permanent residency (PR), an option not available in USA under regular student visas.
  1. Lower Hour Requirement for ATPL
  • Canadian pilots need only 750 hours for an ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) if trained under an integrated program, compared to 1,500 hours in the USA.
  1. Direct conversion of Canadian RT lic. into Indian RTR.
