INDIGO CADET PROGRAM At CHIMES AVIATION ACADEMY – CAA

The IndiGo Cadet Program at CAA offers world-class pilot training with a structured pathway to becoming an IndiGo First Officer.

Eligibility

➢ Education – 10+2 with a minimum score of 51% / Grade Point 6 / Grade individually in each       subject, i.e., Physics / Mathematics / English.
➢ Medical – Valid Indian DGCA Class I Medical Certificate at the time of selection
➢ Passport – Valid Indian Passport
➢ Police Verification – Possess a Criminal Record Check (CRC) Basic Disclosure Certificate
➢ English Language Fluency – Both written and verbal

➢ Age -Between 18 and 35 years of age

Assessment & Selection Process

Stage 1: ADAPT Assessment

This is an online psychometric and aptitude test to assess the behavioural and cognitive proficiencies of individuals aspiring to pursue a career in Aviation.

Stage 2: Group Task Assessment

This phase involves a Group Task Assessment, where candidates showcase their collaborative and problem-solving skills.

Stage 3: Personal Interviews

This stage offers candidates the opportunity to articulate their aspirations
and experiences in front of IndiGo Panellists
Upon successful completion  the candidates will sign the Letter of Intent (LoI) with IndiGo.

Ground School Training​

Theory classes for all DGCA examinations:

Phase 2

Flight Training (CPL - SE/IR)​​

Takes place at air bases in Dhana and Neemuch.

➢ Cessna 172/Piper Archer DX – 185 hours on all Single Engine
Aircraft
➢ Diamond DA42 aircraft – 15 hours on Diamond DA 42 Multi-Engine
Aircraft
➢ DGCA-approved aircraft simulators – 30 hours of Simulator Flying

Phase 3

Type Rating​

Upon successfully acquiring their Commercial Pilot License (CPL), cadets progress to Airbus A320 training with Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) and Jet Orientation Training (JOT) at a TRTO partner approved by IndiGo. 

Fee Information: The complete program is priced at 95L INR. Duration: Full time 20-months
